Hello, I'm Bob Angelo.

On Monday, June 16, 1975, I started my dream job at NFL Films.  I was just 22-years-old.  I retired from Films on February 16, 2018.  

 

In between, over nearly four and a half decades, I wrote, edited, produced, directed and shot hundreds of TV shows and sports segments.

 

I interviewed thousands of NFL players, coaches, front office people, team owners and media types.

I shot a handheld sideline camera at over 850 NFL football games. 

 

For my efforts, I won 21 national Sports Emmy Awards in various categories.

I created this website to share with you my book titled “The NFL Off-Camera,” a career collection of short stories involving my most compelling interview subjects. No single story exceeds three pages in length. With one noteworthy exception (Tom Brady), I only wrote about people with whom I interacted personally.

 

In serving professional football, I’ve seen things most people aren’t allowed to see, heard things most people will never hear, and done things most people will never do.
